About PABLITO

Pablito, better known as Jose Manuel Cota Cota began his artistic journey quite by accident one day in Tiki Island - Galveston, Texas 8 years ago. Moved by the spirit, his work is a reflection of the positive energy that surrounds us all. As he applies paint to canvas, it quickly becomes apparent that his hands are guided by more than just his own thought. Image and color combine to create vibrant expressions of spiritual energy, knowledge, wisdom, and ultimately light.

Pablito uses Reflectionist art as a medium by which he wishes to create a symbiotic relationship between the viewer and the spiritual self. He believes that art is communication, and through his art strives to create provocative thought processes that draw people to listen to the Universe, and heed the messages that are presenting themselves to the world. Throughout the world there are places of spiritual energy that influence Pablito's artwork. They evoke strong emotion often tied to humanity and man's journey through the ages. Places like the Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge, Chichenitza, and Macchu Picchu all help Pablito draw positive and influential energy into his artwork.
